The National Defense Force (NDF) serves as the unified military and defense body of the Commonwealth of Greenwick. Tasked with protecting national sovereignty, supporting civil security, and responding to emergencies, the NDF operates under the authority of the Ministry of National Security and the Monarch as Commander-in-Chief.
"To protect the Commonwealth, its people, and its interests with integrity, discipline, and unwavering dedication."
The NDF is a non-aggressive, defense-oriented force, with a primary focus on internal security, civil defense, and disaster response. It is structured into the following key divisions:
Ground Division – Responsible for border defense, territorial security, and peacekeeping.
Coastal Patrol Division – Protects Greenwick’s marine borders, fisheries, and coastal infrastructure.
Aerial Surveillance Unit – Operates drones and aircraft for monitoring and emergency response.
Disaster Relief & Emergency Corps – Specializes in humanitarian aid, natural disaster support, and national crises.
Cyber Security Unit – Defends national networks, data systems, and critical infrastructure from digital threats.
The NDF is composed of professional volunteers, not conscripts.
Citizens aged 18 and over may apply to serve in the force under a strict vetting and training program.
Active Duty and Reserve Units make up the operational branches of the force.
The NDF is accountable to the Parliament and operates under the supervision of the Minister for National Security, ensuring full transparency and compliance with civil law.
Although Greenwick maintains a non-aggressive foreign policy, the NDF may collaborate with trusted allies, such as Rondland, for:
Joint training exercises
Strategic defense pacts
International humanitarian missions
Greenwick does not engage in offensive military action and does not maintain long-range weapon systems.
The NDF plays a key role in:
Flood and storm response
Wildfire containment
Pandemic logistics and supply distribution
Civil evacuation operations
The NDF operates out of secure military bases in all three states:
Fort Greenhaven (Westmarch) – Central command
Camp Elderview (Eldermoor) – Training and logistics hub
Northguard Base (Northwell) – Surveillance and emergency support
The NDF uses light vehicles, patrol boats, communication towers, and non-lethal defense equipment.
The National Defense Force stands as a symbol of peace, protection, and preparedness in the Commonwealth of Greenwick. It is not a tool of war, but a pillar of national safety and unity in times of need.
